The story begins with two very sad characters. The first, Susan, has her story revealed slowly so the author keeps you guessing all through the book as to the exact reason for her devastation. The second is her young daughter. Melissa, trying to cope with the situation. There are several other people involved in the story, male and female, most likeable and optimistic, a few not. The majority of the chapters are written in the first person by the four female characters and cleverly interwoven. I enjoyed the style of writing and characterisations, which kept my interest and made me smile throughout the story even though there is also sadness. Well worth a read when you want something amusing and heart-warming.
