A gentile story about a handful of residents in Primrose Square. Susan is dealing with the unexpected death of her eldest daughter in the only way she knows how, by having a nervous breakdown. Melissa, Susan's youngest daughter, is trying to keep up the pretence that everything is ok. Nancy has fled London under a dark cloud and is trying to start again in Primrose Square, and Jayne, a widow, the oldest of them all has met someone new and is gently breaking the news to the rest of her family. This story is a lovely read about trials and tribulations that I think a lot of people can relate to. Each characters journey intertwines with one another and firm bonds are built. A perfect book for a holiday read.
