The book is written similar to a diary entry. Although the fear felt by some of people is described there is little description of characters and none of violence. The black and white cover shows the Krays in a quite tame homely setting of chinz curtains and teacups which denies the fear they generated. I found the text very basic and easy to read but I am not sure that I would read the book to the end.
