This is a very interesting read for not just those who have an interest in the Krays and that era after the 2nd World War where the East End of London became synonymous with gangsters but also anyone who is interested in the way that gangs like these can sprout and grow. This is a well written account of how someone gets drawn into this world where a shadow law and rules exist. The Krays ruled this area with a huge element of fear but were also of their time and you often wonder if people like these took a different route in life how successful they would have been in "normal" business! Great read and would highly recommend.
