The inside story of the Kray twins has been told many times but this is interesting as the author is literally in the driving seat. Whilst he paints himself in a very sympathetic light and allegedly knew nothing of the most violent crimes committed until they actually happened the closeness of the connection cannot be underestimated. This is an easy read but doesn't really convey the madness and mayhem caused by the twins. Having said that it is an easy read with some interesting insights into the worker bees relationship with the London icons. This book adds little to the story that has been told many times. Despite this if you have an interest in how easy it may be to distance your involvement over time this book is for you. A good guy in the criminal underworld.
