I really enjoyed reading this book. It is actually quite short which surprised me. However, reading the book feels like having quite a candid conversation where the reader is hearing the memoirs of someone so close to the notorious Kray twins. You feel like you have pulled up a bar stool with an old friend.
I grew up in the East End of London and actually watched the procession for the funerals of Ronnie and Reggie in Chingford, from my living room window!
Having spend many years of my life on the grounds these men ‘controlled’ for so long - this book was particularly close to home.
I would recommend reading this for anyone that has an interest, a different perspective to Fred Dinenage interviews but very absorbing.
