Set in the 60's at the height of the Kray Twins empire, John Dickinson sells the story of his involvement very well. The fact that his account of the going's on of one of the most notorious gangs in London is a true one, is incredible.

It's gripping in a way that just urges you to read on, like you're reading a fictional crime story and you want to know how its all going to end. Though these 'characters' were real people, and the crimes they committed during that era were terrible, the book really does glorify them and put them on a pedestal.

I enjoyed this book immensely; I was able to sympathise with characters such as 'Ian' because they found themselves 'in the wrong place, at the wrong time' which made for an interesting and heart-wrenching read.
