This is the fourth publication of the book written in 1986 by John Dickson, aka Scotch Jack, who died in 2014.
It is a very short book - only 244 pages long and written in a large font with double spacing between the lines. I found the language rather stilted with little emotion and to me it seemed more like a witness statement rather than a novel 'I met a man previously unknown to me' etc
The author was one of the firm and privy to a lot of the criminal acts, including murder, perpetrated by his bosses, the Kray twins.
The author's recollections do not glorify the Krays or promote reasons for their subsequent celebrity. The firm seem to have spent an inordinate amount of time drinking tea and eating sandwiches!
I'm not sure that the re-publication of this book is going to add anything to the information already available about these London gangsters who operated in the 1960s.
