As someone who grew up hearing of the Kray Twins as if they ruled the world, I’d always been curious about what sort of people they really were. I’d wondered how they were able to get away with everything they did and whether or not they were as ruthless as I had heard. This book is beautifully written and I found myself on the edge of my seat trying to keep up with the trouble that they caused. It’s unsettling to think of how much power they had and this book does a fantastic job of letting you in on the secrets and making you feel as if you’re really there watching the events unfold for yourself. Wonderfully written, it made me feel angry, uncomfortable, curious and apprehensive to read on whilst also making it impossible for me to stop.
