This book is not something I would normally indulge in purely because of the subject matter. To me The Krays should be left to be forgotten and not portrayed as being a subject matter of a book. The crimes they committed were , well, beyond the imagination and should never be glorified.
The author , however, has done the job of telling , maybe not a different side to the Krays, but a side that not many people know about, He has told how the way they were shown on the news and in the courts gave one side to the story but also has told some of the lesser known facts surrounding the times they ruled the streets of London. The twins had a mob of men behind them doing their work which helped give them alibis to some crimes and the power they had hold of them was beyond comprehension. Families suffered ,lives were changed and although it was many decades ago the Krays still remain famous to this day
