In the prologue we meet Suzanne, in September 1997. She is a child who has a love of art and I I thought using colour to describe emotions was a clever touch. She is locked in her room by her father and told to wait for 20minutes before using the spare key he pushes under the door to let herself out. She is then told to go next door and ask the neighbour to dial 999! I really need to know what happened as this is not normal by any stretch!

We then meet Georgia in March 2017, whose perspective the story is told from. She has a job painting scenes from courtrooms where trials that the media are reporting on are taking place. Her images are used for tv and newspapers. However she seems to allude that this is a cover for something. I wonder if she is Suzanne, but with a new identity perhaps? Georgia also has seen a young boy by himself wearing a bright red t-shirt for pyjamas on two separate occasions. However, no one else can see him it seems. I cannot wait to find out who he is and what Georgia's job is a cover for.

I absolutely loved this first impression! It is fast paced and I am intrigued to learn more!
