I love the dark atmospheric cover, which is what attracted me to the book in the first place. Although, reading on maybe a cover in the style of a courtroom artists work may have been more appropriate.
I am a lawyer so I was concerned when we stepped through the doors of the courtroom as I usually spend time noting mistakes. Whilst there may have been minor issues I didn't care as I was too interested in revealing the answers to my own questions: what happened on the other side of the bedroom door; who is the boy in red; what is Georgia's secret? The characters are well drawn particularly Georgia. Ms Helm's writing allows you to feel Georgia's fear, isolation, and her sense of justice. This is one of those books that you know you'll be sorry, but not disappointed when you turn the last page.
