This was actually such a good read, much better than I thought it would be. It really had me gripped. The character was one I really connected with and believed in, and the story line was so interesting. I loved the psychological aspect of it and found it really interesting reading about court artists, which I had never really considered that deeply before. It kept me guessing the whole time and just when I thought I had figured it all out, there was a big twist that told me I was kidding myself all along. And while the whole 'dark, mysterious past' thing can be a bit overplayed in this genre, it was actually fine in this book, and was part of what had me so gripped. I highly recommend it and would definately read another book by the same author.
