The Secrets You Hide is the second book of Kate Helms' that I have read and just like The House Share, I was absolutely hooked, I finished the book within one sitting.
The Secret You Hide follows Georgia Sage who is a courtroom artist for a living, she has gift where she can see evil in people and she uses her art too show this. Georgia is also running from her past which you find out about during the book, I liked how you didn't have too wait right until the end of the book to learn more about Georgia's history, I enjoyed finding out little bits throughout the book.
During the book Georgia gets the chance to re-visit one of her past cases when she gets commissioned to paint a portrait of Jim Fields a man who rescued two children from a burning building that his son Daniel started. The fire killed Jim's wife Tessa and their unborn child. Georgia has too go to the town Ashdean to paint Jim's portrait but she soon realises everyone knows everyone and Georgia starts to think that Jim isn't the man everyone makes out to be.
I loved how determined Georgia was as a character to find out the truth surrounding Jim Fielding and the town of Ashdean. I absolutely loved how Georgia went from courtroom artist in to detective to find the evidence that she needed.
