An intriguing and beautifully written novel

Despite the clearly heavy themes present in this novel and the fact that at times it feels like a tough read, I adored this. It's so much more than another sexual assault book following a victim's path. It's a story about growth, about the desire for revenge, learning to put trust in others and moving forward to accept the support that friends can give. It's also about rediscovering who you are as a person and the changes you make to yourself to fit in. 

It's an excellent, well written and dark dive into a world that is a tragic reality for many. Despite being YA book, the topics are handled better than some adult-specific books I've read with similar themes.
