Though The Sharp Edge of Silence is definitely aimed at a younger audience than myself, I was immediately drawn in by the cover and premise. The book is handling very serious topics, however, the author seems to be very cautious (thankfully!) and carefully balances the tension with the importance of discussing these topics.

The cover wouldn't necessarily grab me in a bookshop, but I do enjoy the tagline.

I also enjoyed how the book introduces the characters, as that felt extremely unique. However, I struggled with the flow of the first few pages, but hoping as time goes on this'll pass...
