The sharp edge of silence - Cameron Kelly Rosenblum

I'm not really sure how to word a review for this right now, but if you want a book with a powerful message then this is for you.

Tw - rape, rape culture, sexual assault, toxic masculinity, misogyny

Every message in this book is an accurate representation of some peoples experiences of high school. From the guys who think the only way to be noticed is to be 'one of the guys', to the girls who question their worth and self blame for the behaviours of others. Qs story is as deep and as dark as it could get for someone of her age in school. But I love how she feels able to express herself through art and music, despite her feeling broken and damaged.
The corruption within the school from the Dean who wants to brush things under the rug because he doesn't understand that "boys will be boys" and "kids will be kids" is HARMFUL.

Honestly there's so much to this book, it's emotional, raw and powerful.
