The Sharp Edge of Silence by Cameron Kelly Rosenblum is a gripping story about a group of teenagers at the prestigious Lycroft Phelps school. The chapters focus on different character points of view throughout, but the plot revolves around the character of Quinn and the aftermath of her being in school with the boy who assaulted her.
The other central characters of Charlotte and Max add to the overall story and contribute to what is a good read. I liked how we knew their stories would be linked but this took time to unravel as the story went on. There were also several other strong characters in this book that added to the story.
The themes are quite heavy at times but it is well written and the story flows well. I haven’t read anything like this before so it was something different for me - it definitely had me gripped and needing to know what would happen at the end.
