This book follows 3 students at Lycroft Phelps - Q, Charlotte and Max and who will they be at this school? I really enjoyed how their stories connected more throughout the book, as soon as I started I knew I had to find out what happens.

This is a difficult read as Q has been sexually assaulted by another student Colin the previous May and I really felt the pain and trauma she felt, having to see the boy acting as if nothing ever happened. Driven by rage and a need for revenge, she decides that Colin must die.

Charlotte is a dancer and is dating Colin's friend Seb (both are on the rowing team), we see her trying to be 'perfect' for him as she can't believe Seb has chosen her.

Max is a bit of a nerd who has a crush on Alex. It shows his struggle as he gets drawn in to the popular crowd when he joins the rowing team. He knows things happening around him are wrong but chooses to ignore them for his own benefit.

Lycroft Phelps shows how rape culture can thrive in a hidden club and this culture is led by Dean Frye who puts not wanting to have a scandal first.

A really powerful read as it shows not standing up against sexist behaviour allows it to continue and the importance of friends and a support system to help a survivor recover.

I found all the characters and the writing believable, it didnt feel like it was 450+ pages! Highly recommend, although be aware of the topics covered in the book!
