Oh boy. Trigger warning indeed. Big bold trigger warnings. This is a book written from the authors experience of sexual abuse. It's graphic and challenging. I feel it should also be included in high school reading syllabuses. Not only for girls, but boys too. We spend time teaching our daughters about sexual relationships and being ready, but do our sons get as much information ?

It hurts to read this book. However you identify, reading about how toxic masculinity is rife and endorsed, especially by those in a position of power and privilege, will make you feel angry, even more so that you know it still happens.

I'm not going to lie, this book is upsetting and I find it difficult reading about rape and sexual assault, but this book handles these elements well - not hiding from them, but delivered very well.

Yes, it can be heavy, but there are other elements to the story other than this, which is why I was able to read it rather quickly.

I'd recommend that this book is read by more young men and I applaud the cover - boys, you will be held accountable.
