“The Sharp Edge Of Silence” is a thrilling YA read which I’d highly recommend. Although I have never read a book by Cameron Kelly Rosenblum before, I am most definitely hooked with her style of writing. It’s certainly descriptive and may not be for those with a slightly weaker heart, some parts happening to be quite unsettling; There are many triggers in this book, and I’d probably advise people to be aware of the content this book contains i.e. sexual assault.
We are introduced to Quinn who witnessed a traumatic event, the main cause for such a deed being Colin Pearce (the boy who just so happens to be at the top of the school’s food chain). We are strung along Q’s journey to revenge as she seeks to eliminate the cause of nightmares. Not only this, but we are also introduced to characters such as Charlotte and her boyfriend Max who also play an equally significant role within the story.
Every turn of the page had me on edge. Cameron Kelly Rosenblum certainly has a way with her words, her rhythm and flow adds a kick to the writing. I felt that the story was quite tense and gripping, tension being present throughout the book. As mentioned before, I’d highly recommend this book.
