When I first saw this book & read the first impression, I thought this would be right down my alley. The front cover is very eye catching and I would be drawn to have a look at this in a book shop if browsing. But I was a little disappointed as it was not what I was expecting. In terms of the storyline itself, I found some parts a bit boring and irrelevant but by the end you can see the whole picture that has been described and the other themes illustrated throughout the book as well.
Nonetheless, I am glad I read it as it has a very compelling story relating to sexual assault. It is very eye opening and the trauma Quinn endured from the experience. I think it is very much worth a read and although is a book of fiction, the leading themes throughout the book are very much real and affect many young people today.
Although it not my preferred read, it was an emotional read and would recommend.
