Firstly I would love to say that this is a wonderful example of a fantasy loving child being thrown into a fantasy environment - one of my favourite minor tropes! I really having everything crossed for Rose on her adventure.
However, I also feel I should say that as someone who struggles with unfamiliar words, the first few pages of this felt a bit overwhelming, and if I happened to be book shopping and read that, it would have put me off.
