If I were twelve years old, I probably would have enjoyed such a novel. Nonetheless, it is a typical fantasy with an overdone plotline. The Irish mythology was interesting and unique, so that's a bonus. Overall, the writing style was quite flat and I found it hard to keep reading on as I'd zone out. Clearly not a book for me as it's intended for a younger audience.
