The Silver Road by Sinead O'Hart is a children / young adults book full of magic and Irish folk tale. It is clear the author has research Irish tales in detail and provides information to support the journey. However, the author does a wonderful job of balancing the information and not over loading the book which is great to see.
The book is aimed at children/ young adults and is really enjoyable. This is a wonderful introduction to magical systems and exploring mystery.
The book has a nice flow which draws you into Rosaleen Darke life. There are aspects of world building but not too much. The author describes Silver Road is truly magical with twists and turns along the way.
If you have a child interest in magic or fantasy I would highly recommend this book. I also hope to see more books by this author as it was truly magical and an exciting journey
