i quite enjoyed this book, its aimed a younger audience than me but there was still bits i enjoyed, it had good relatable characters, and a interesting mix of fantasy, rose is great, young caring and brave, i would maybe liked one more cheaper at the end to see how things turned out, there is plenty of action to keep readers attention, Gracie and Nellie are some of my favourite characters, i would love like a prequel about them or something, Emer who at the start is a bully to rose is someone i would like to find out more about like her home life etc, a must read for any young person who has an interest in Irish mythology, the 2nd half of the book is deficiently better than the fist as the action gets going, there is even a great helpful guide at the back with, vocabulary/pronunciation guides to help with some of the mythology, overall silver road is a good read
