the dramatic cover draws me in and i love how when i first open the book it starts with meteors' and smileys beautifully setting the seane. and how we are launched straight into the action. and the pages themselves are decorative and intresting helping me engage in the book. All the combinations of coulors is really pleasing to look at and makes sure the reader will not put that book down. at the start we can see a real contrast between rose and sioc because be is fighting to the death where she is safe in school but being bullied and feels like she cant escape from her bully. one of my faverate use of words in this book is frost flaked rain so simple in itself however it is so effective. i also love the names in this book as they have been so well planed and given to these characters that are so full of life and character!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
