Thank you to readers first for giving me the opportunity to read, enjoy and review ‘the silver road’ written by Sinead o’hart.
This is a juvenile fiction story perfect, in my opinion for ages 12+ (to keep them interested).
That being said; I did enjoy the book. I loved the mythology of the characters, the aspect of the bully showing compassion towards the end and rose not being scared of who she is.
This could be a really good short story as I think the first half of the book dragged then the second half of the book flew by.
The drawings through the book were well done and thoughtfully placed. The cover art has very nice colours, I love the combination of purple pink blue and green and the font reminds you that this is full of nature and magic.
All in all 3.5/5 stars for me as I do not think I am the target demographic but I would pass this on to my younger cousins.
