The Silver Road immediately captured my attention with its immersive storytelling. The tension is there from the start and suspense only builds from there. The concept of this story and the crossover of the lives of its main characters shows and emphasizes the incredible mastery of words-craft performed here. I am not typically a mystery reader because to me it was always somewhat predictable but the Silver Road really challenged my expectations for this genre. The visceral emotions poured out on its pages is a lot to take in but incredibly necessary to truly understand its characters and their experiences. I have never read anything by Swedish authors before but this was a wonderful introduction.
