I can highly recommend this book. I loved the cover and feel of the book, although I wasn't sure about the lack of chapters - this was helped though by the story being told by different characters. I liked the Swedish setting. It was unfamiliar to me and added to the atmosphere of the book. It never felt like a story that had been translated.
The story really grabbed and kept your attention. The despair and longing of Lelle was so sad but believable. I liked the character of Meja. Brought up by a somewhat dysfunctional Mum she was strong, independent and likeable yet still searching for security and safety. The book really picked up pace towards the end, and although I suspected who was responsible I could never quite be sure.
