Really enjoyed the story.
From the start, I really felt for the mother and daughter who struggled to settle down. The difficulties her mother had must have been horrendous to deal with, so I was really pleased for the daughter when she found a new place to live...her boyfriends family home.
I could make predictions about how her tragic life was linked to the tragic life of the man who searched the nearby road for his missing daughter, so the ending was somewhat of a disappointment.
That being said, I loved the story, right up until the last page and felt a strong connection to all of the characters. Was like the story Room by Emma Donoghue but with more insight into the outside world around them.
