....because you are not going to want to put this book down. It is different from many books in this genre and you'll want to read why.
The characters leap off the page and the anguish is palpable. The disappearance of a daughter and the obsession of a father unable to let go.
The remoteness of the setting reflects the story. But Meja, a troubled seventeen year (the same age as the missing girl would be) arrives in town and you know it's not going to be roses all the way. But you don't know which fairytale it will turn out to be. And will it have a happy ending or is it like the Silver Road - winding on, seemingly forever?
I would recommend this beautifully translated Nordic novel (and the cover is a perfect reflection of the book too!)
