I loved the different perspectives of both the characters - a mourning father still searching for his daughter and a girl trapped by the poor decisions of her mother.
I feel so much for both of them, for Lelle and his never ending mission and sense of responsibility to find his daughter. For Meja, with how she is trapped and yet cannot do anything because she still feels responsible for making sure her mum is okay.
The writing is flawless, moving fluidly between both perspectives without a hitch. You cannot help but relate to both characters, to their struggles and their hardships.
The unifying theme that trickles through is family. Family who will do anything for each other, whether that is drive every night through deserted roads or live life in an isolated place, hoping that your mother sees sense.
