The Silver Wolf is billed as Book One of an epic series and at 560 pages it's a pretty hefty start. The Thirty Year's War certainly seems fertile ground for an epic tale sprawling across borders as well as years. Learning more about that hugely destructive chapter of European history would certainly be a bonus on top of what seems to have the potential to be an engrossing plot.
