This one will be right up my street. With a huge cast of characters and the seventeenth century’s 30 years war as backdrop and protagonist it can be nothing else but convoluted and complicated and at its heart a rattling good yarn This will be the story of Jack, capable and fearless dock rat with a past and his quest to find out who he is and who killed his parents. Shades of Dorothy Dunnett amongst others. If this is to be a series it might outstay its welcome but, for the moment - bring it on!
