Historical fiction is one of my go to genres.
I must admit, I don't know an awful lot, if much at all, about the thirty year war, but this has made me want to read up some more on it.
I like how the author has given some what of a mini history lesson at the beginning, and also listed the cast of characters, and to which part they feature.
