I enjoyed the writing style of this book, thought I felt it a little too slow paced for me. To begin with the positives I enjoyed the characters that’s were introduced – they were well written. I also like how at the beginning of each chapter they were extra information and a historical picture included. That’s what made this book stand out for me as I haven’t read one that included this before. This is the first books I’ve read by this author and hopefully not the last, but I just didn’t enjoy this as much as I hoped I would.
I found the many characters hard to follow, though while reading them I enjoyed it and their stories. And while the pace of the book was too slow for me to really get into, others may enjoy it. I recommend trying this book for yourself as this is only my personal opinion of the book. It just wasn’t for me.
