I am not normally gripped with historical fiction but this book has me hooked. From the brilliant story line to the way in which the period was described made it a fabulous read. With not really reading many historical books I thought I would find it a little hard to connect with the story but the writing was capativating. I loved the constant time and character movement as it really made the book move at a great pace without leaving me confused or disconnected. The young man's journey to find his father and also to find himself is such a wonderful read and I am recommending it to all of my reading friends. This book is a unique read and brilliant for book lovers from all different preferred genres.
