So before I read this I checked out reviews on it. It has been given loads of praise but has also raised valid points on it.
The justbof the book is a boy named jack. His dad was a rebel and he gets killed then they come for his mum. He basically survives knowing he wants revenge on the man that did it.
It is written in 3 parts.
The first part is full on different characters so can become confusing if your head isn’t in the right place. It’s about him being taught to fight and his teenage years basically. A family take him in and help him grow.
Part two actually goes back to the beginning of him being a child and how his mum and dad lived and how they were killed.
Part three is when he is older and about war and his crew. Loads of little stories are untwined until near the end when he has a bit of revenge.
The ending is brilliant as it clearly lays it open for the second book!
