Wasn’t quite sure this book was for me as I’m unaware of this era. I need nit have worried as I took to the pages slowly I realised this was an adventure a one that I would be taken on and learned throughout. This book showed compassion and determination and most of all empathy. I really got into this book and felt a part of it as I read it. It was well written and for my part well directed. It showed an era u familiar to me but at the end I felt as if I’d been there and could understand the fight that went on in the wars and in peoples lives at that time. It showed compassion and was well descriptive of an era that needed a story to be told. The author has cast a net for us all to be waiting for the next book hopefully as well written as this one and with such depth and it holds well as I’m really impressed the way it took me to a time I knew very little about. Well done.
