I think I should start by warning you all that this book will be part of a trilogy and therefore does end rather suddenly, but trust me when I say you will want to read on and know what is going to happen in the next books.

As someone who is usual not a fan of war books, I found this one so different. With the focus on our main character, Jag, a young boy who has been orphaned and his journey. We follow him through meeting various other characters, dealing with the challenges a war struck country throws his way all way you fall in love with his character.
I think this book is one most people should try. It is so well written and true credit to the art of fiction written where the story is draw from a true event. I cannot wait for the sequel.
