Not for me unfortunately. I really tried, but felt a bit outfaced by the sheer size of the book and it became an effort to read. That really isn't a criticism of the book itself; I know I struggle with historical fiction and don't have the passion/interest to give it my full attention. Having said that, I have passed it on to a delighted friend who I'm sure will be captivated.
