Too slowly paced. Lots of words that weren’t needed.
Enjoyed parts of the story. Especially Jags story and how he ended up the way he was.
Sad about his dad and mum. But lots of unnecessary chapters.
I enjoyed the story around Jag and how he became the man he was. I wasn’t so keen on the war side of the story. Felt there was a lot of unnecessary chapters to this.
I know that the story must continue as he had not found who killed his parents yet. He has only killed the man who identified his father to the killer.
I found the most entertaining parts the chapters around his family and his relationships with the other children in Belle dame. It is sad that he did not stay and live with one of them rather than run away and let them all think he was dead.
Not sure I would read the next books in the series. It was too long winded and too war like for my liking. Xxxxx
