What immediately grabbed my attention with this book was the synopsis; it immediately appealed to me because I personally love a book with strong elements of mystery. However this is probably not something that everyone will enjoy, particularly as so far none of the characters seem very relatable, or even likeable.
Overall though it was a fast paced first chapter with the solid foundations of an excellent story, and to top it all off, it has a brilliant cover!
