Didn't draw me in to the story from the off, but I'd still read it...
I enjoyed reading this first impression, but it didn't grab me or stay with me. I actually read it several days ago and left writing the first impression as a deliberate experiment...I needed to remind myself what happened before I typed this...
That said, I think the story has potential and that it might just need to be given a bit more time before you settle in to it.
So far I haven't been able to decide who to like or dislike, but I did find the fact that one of the main protagonists is essentially missing from the off intriguing.
I like the cover - it is of the genre and has enough information on it for you to decide whether you want to pick it up or not.
