The cover and the fast paced style brings Shari LaPena or Lisa Jewell to mind. Storyline seems equally interesting. Definitely looking forward to reading the rest of it. One fundamental difference (at least so far) is that chapters seem to be quite long. Short chapters for these type of books are only a personal preference, however, and do not have any bearing on the quality of the novel, which seems to be at quite a high level
