So far. so good! The first chapters of this book are intriguing to say the least. Iain Ryan very quickly builds up a picture of main character Erma's life, with us meeting many characters in quick succession. It doesn't feel too much though - you get a good picture of the people who seem important at this stage. The rivalry between Jenny and Erma is already gripping, and Erma's moral ambiguity makes for a good start to the story.
