I had high hopes, looking at the cover and the synopsis. However I was not interested this story from the start. I was thrown into a random scene and had no idea what was going on until a few pages in. I had no sense of who was who, where the main character was and what her job actually was until a few pages in.
I found it very difficult to continue reading the entire first look, as I was not interested in a single page of this. The writing didn't flow for me. I found myself more confused than anything. Then when the characters were quoted I found it difficult to ascertain who was speaking. There needs to be more clarity as to who said what. This added to the confusion.
Sadly I was not drawn in by any aspect of this plot or by the writing style and I would not read on.
