The author goes straight for the jugular with the well written characters. This is a gritty no nonsense story. Erma is called back to her university for a meeting. She is confused and does not know what it is about. She is also being let down by a co-worker who is holding up the completion of her book and seems to be the instigator of trouble for Erma.
