I was drawn in by the blurb informing that this was akin to the Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, a book that I could not get enough of. On delving into The Spiral I was not, however, struck by any similarity. Maybe if I perservere I'll see the similarities. It does seem a promising and reasonably crafted novel but I'm not sure if it is for me.
